Viro successfully implemented three ISO standards

Virovitica, 25. July 2011 – Viro Sugar Factory Inc. became certified for ISO standards - ISO 9001:2008, ISO 22000:2005 and ISO 14001:2004 for production and sales of sugar.
Viro Sugar Factory Inc. successfully underwent a certification process conducted by certification company SGS Adriatica for ISO 9001:2008, ISO 22000:2005 and ISO 14001:2004 standards, aimed for production and sales of sugar. Standards have been introduced to ensure quality, food safety and environment protection.

With continuous investments in factory modernization, we increase production efficiency and product quality and reduce impact on the environment at the same time. Numerous certificates, as well as high quantities of sugar exported to the highly demanding EU market represent the best proof of our efforts.», stated Viro Sugar Factory CEO Željko Zadro.
After adoption of Decision on implementation of quality policy, food safety and environment protection according to these ISO standards in July, Viro appointed a team in charge for introduction and implementation of the system and conducted numerous activities, from the preparation of documentation in accordance with standard demands to necessary investments in factory and environment.
Besides that, all employees have undergone training in order to successfully implement requirements of these standards.
